Cold Fusion and MLG working together?

Yes, that’s right.  You may have herd some rumors that Cold Fusion and MLG did something together.  Well the rumors are true.  Unfortunately with our contract with MLG, we were not aloud to publicize any information until MLG released the final project.  That was released last night (Friday June 5) at MLG Columbus, where they streamed it live to ESPN 360.  Todd, Kevin and Mike (Whoopz) were invited as special guests to MLG Columbus Friday evening and were able to watch the live streaming release.  We were also able to watch several of our local teams play in a tournament on a much larger scale and it was nice to see how well they were doing.  It was also nice to chat with members of the teams outside of Cold Fusion.

In late April, Cold Fusion received a phone call from MLG Vice President Bloom.  He wanted to work on a project together with Cold Fusion.  MLG and Dr. Pepper are doing a Home Make over contest nationwide where the winners receive 1 room in their house remodeled into the Ultimate Game room.  They will be selecting 4 total winners throughout the year.  We were glad to hear that winner #2 was from the local area.  We were even more pleased when we found out that the winner was one our local Halo players that comes to some of our tournaments.  We would like to congratulate him.  We were able to invite 2 of our local Halo teams to be on hand during the filming.  We looked back at our last 3 Halo tournaments and picked the 2 teams who placed the highest at those tournaments.  Gimme My Money and Highrise were invited.  On the day of filming, MLG flew in T-squared (A Pro Halo player) to play with the winner, his team (Popular Demand), Gimme My money and Highrise.  All involved seem to have a great time and listened to T-squared as he gave tips.  Then T-squared coached Popular Demand as they played Gimme My Money.  While everyone enjoyed playing Halo at Cold Fusion, the MLG / Dr. Pepper make over team was renovating Nick’s bedroom into the Ultimate Game room.  You will have to check out the show at www.mlgpro.com.  They will have it up and running on their website by June 10.  Next time your at Cold Fusion you will have to check out the Halo helmet above the tv’s as it was signed by T-squared while he was here.    We would like to thank MLG for this opportunity and look forward to working with them on future projects.
